Author: Alan Purser

I began writing soon after I retired in 2011. At the very end of 2017, I self published my first book, The Brown Fedora. due to the interest in the book I commissioned two print runs. Sales were purely by word of mouth, I sold every copy, to either friends or family. I am delighted to say that everyone who read the book enjoyed it. In fact their flattering comments somewhat overwhelmed me. I have been prompted by Mr & Mrs Cotham to contact yourself, to enquire if we could work together, with a view to advancing sales of my book.

I am a retired Civil Servant, I have used some of my experiences and some characters that I have met along the way for the storyline of my books. I am Dyslexic and I have not been able to enjoy writing or reading until now. Once over a keyboard I have no restrictions, spelling, punctuation, I just write and I ‘Love it’. With this new found freedom my Dyslexia has become less of a hindrance, more of an aid. I love writing, it has provided me with a freedom that I have never enjoyed before. It helps me search out and develop a greater variety of details for my storylines.
