Author: Yen Rickeard

Yen Rickeard was born in England, and brought up in England, Egypt, and Malaysia. With a first writing award obtained at age 15, for a piece on the National Health Service in the UK, Yen went on to gain a Degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics, and a postgraduate degree in teaching. Four years teaching and bushwalking in Australia brought a realisation of how much history is written into the landscape of Europe, and a strong interest in ancient history in the UK followed. Research into the late Iron Age for the gripping Danny Sharp series 'Time and Again' has been intensive, exciting and rewarding, even if the Iron Age did fight back at times!
The East Riding of Yorkshire was home to the Parisi two thousand years ago, and the hills and vales of the Wolds are marked by them. The Parisi had their own way of doing things, slightly different from the tribes around them at the time. The places they would have thought sacred, the howes of the bronze ages, the springs and standing stones would have been markers for them. Some of them still attract people who hang their gifts on nearby trees when asking for wishes.
'Time and Again' is an ongoing work of fiction based on well researched detail of the period. The modern day and the link between the two time periods rely on extreme extrapolation of mathematical and scientific theories being worked on today
