Not a trip down memory lane, more like a steady canter through the past fifty years of being a baker, who many people think of as someone who starts work very early in the morning or has little ambition. Making bread is easy, right? Well as it is said ‘it ain’t necessarily so’.
There are no recipes in this book: why would I want to add to the millions of recipes out there? And probably most are beyond the scope of people not familiar with cooking or baking.
This is just a read through the working life of a corner shop baker who has seen and done quite a lot in his fifty years before the ovens
